Day 3, October 3, 2025 - 10 km - First Day of walking. In the early morning we began with a very short walk up to the Cathedral for the 7:00 am Pilgrim's Mass, It was very moving for at least one of the team.
They came back to the apartment for breakfast then we started the walk toward where we will be staying for the next two days.
By the time John met up with them to bring lunch and Latte in Sainte-Christophe-sur-Dolaison, they had met a friend named Cherry from France who was happy to join us. He is planning on walking through to Santiago and sleeping in his tent.
The route was stunning, every corner unfolded more beauty at every turn. We all had thankful hearts and there was already talk of the next Camino. Everything was perfect and little did we know what was ahead. How could it get any better than this?
Day 4, October 4, 2025 - 12 km. For the next two days we continued the walk with John picking us up along the way and returning to the home for supper.
Day 5 October 5, 2025 - 10 km-The last day in Chanaleilles we drove ahead through the Amount- Aubrac region. Very interesting to see but kind of glad we were not walking it since the weather was a little rainy. We were able to stop for a few photos along the way.
Estaing was a beautiful city with this historic bridge over the river Lot. The walkers got out of the car at a Hill Top Chapel, about 10 km from the house in Golinhac and walked through the chestnut forest and John drove ahead to get checked in and make a delicious supper. This is my brother Jef's birthday and we had quite a good laugh when trying to find out how old he would be if he was still with us. We were not very mathematically inclined this day. Today was hard slogging and I got us quite lost, twice.

Where are you now? How is your hip feeling?
