Just a couple hours down the road is the village of Caro,  just a few km from the town of Saint Jean pied de port .  This marks both the end of our Camino and the beginning of the French way, another 800km on to Santiago.   

This was a beautiful home to arrive to after a spectacular day. Once again we were reminded how we told the group it was all down hill from here .. which it truly was not. 

Day 17, October 17, 2025 - 5km Our last day in Caro we went back into Saint Jean pied de Port. The walkers got up early and walked into town from our house.  We had a time to explore the city, then we decided to drive to Spain for lunch . 

There were walls all around the city and the old fort and barracks.  It was so nice to have some time to walk around this beautiful town. The last time I was here with Acelkuu we were here for an hour or so before setting out on our way.

And on to Spain, Arneguy, for Lunch. This was our very happy, Moroccan server.
