Oct 14-15-16

Day 14, October 14, 2025.

1 1/2 hours down the road from Condom we will come to the village or Miramont Sensaco where we will stay for another 2 nights.   

From Condom we drove until the last 10 km. Then John dropped them off and went to get some groceries before checking in and starting supper.    

of course we started the walk with a Latte with whipped oat milk and some cookies .

While shopping John was able to find some Canada dry Ginger Ale   if you can believe it. It was a nice prairie walk today with lots of breaks - a sunny day. Paul really liked this house and said he would buy it in a minute. 

Supper that night was a nice BBQ in the back yard facing the Pyrenees. The house was in a really nice little village and it was on a split .. walk either side of the house and you are on one of the Camino routes. Today I announced that I will try to walk over the mountain, I didn't want to have any regrets - everyone cheered. John figured I would try.  

Day 15 October 15, 2025 10km. The next day Peg spent some time in the Chapel and exploring the village and the rest went onward.  

Around 11 I texted them and asked if they were ready for a Latte to which they responded .. COME FIND US. 

 After a little break they continued along the way. Around 5 o'clock I found them again walking through a corn field, lol,  not as excited but glad to see me. We were just outside Pimbo, where we found an old church and a very nice coffee shop.

Day 16, October 16, 2025, 11 km. Next day was on to Saint Jean Pied de Port.  We left by 8:30 and arrived around 10:00 so we had coffee and they decided to walk over the Pyrenees that day. It was very foggy in the village but they assured us that half way up the mountain it had cleared up. I went to our house and got set up then drove up the mountain to pick them up .  What a crazy drive that was.  

Journal entry - I cant believe it - oh I am near death - this is the next level of insanity - absolutely outstanding - beautiful. Everyone was so happy and did a great job!

I met them in Orisson at the and headed back to our home in Caro for the next couple nights.
