Day 1, October 1 2025 - 5km -  6:00am  John, Julie and Peg will head to the train station a little early and will have breakfast there if we have time .. then at 6:55 we will board the train for Lyon. 

 Once in Lyon we pick up the Van we  rented and head for the hotel where we will meet up with Kim and Paul . Little did we know that All of Lyon was under construction so that was a trial but two Ubers later we were on our way.  Once we got them we did some grocery shopping and also found a decathlon store if anyone needs some poles and maybe a jacket. 

The room was affordable, clean and ummmmm well let's just stick with  affordable and clean. hahahaha 

After the cheap hotel and the beat up old car, not sure what Kim and Paul thought the rest of the trip was going to be like. But boy did we have an adventure in store for them .. all up hill from here .
